Tim Campbell is one of Australia's most versatile and much loved entertainers, from leading acting roles on TV and prime time hosting roles to musical theatre stage roles and as a recording artist and live performer.
Tim is best known on TV in the role of ‘Dan Baker’ on Seven's drama Home & Away. He also played the role of ‘Tom Parker’ on the Logie award winning series House Husbands. Previous to this, Tim also starred in Big Sky (Ten), Snobs (Nine), Dead Gorgeous (ABC) plus guest roles in Wildside (ABC), Sea Patrol (Nine), White Collar Blue (Ten), Always Greener (Seven), McLeod’s Daughters (Nine), Police Rescue (ABC),Water Rats (Nine) and Australian’s At War (ABC). He also appeared in the American series Beast Master and The Lost World and in US movies Dynasty Behind The Scenes and The Great Raid with Benjamin Bratt and Joseph Fiennes.
After hotfooting it on Dancing With the Stars in 2007, a finalist and crowd favourite, Tim hosted Seven's game show series, National Bingo Night as well as the travel series Discover Tasmania. After making the switch to the Nine Network, Tim was host of The Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune, and was brilliant fronting The Celebrity Singing Bee. Tim has guest hosted on numerous shows including The Circle, Sydney Weekender, Postcards, Studio 10 and The Project on Network 10. He is also a crowd favourite on the prestigious Carols By Candlelight on Christmas Eve on Nine.
When it comes to musical theatre, Tim played the role of ‘Roger’ in the Perth season of Rent, then moved on to the lead role of ‘Johnny O'Keefe’ in SHOUT! The Legend of the Wild One in Sydney and Melbourne. He also starred as ‘Bobby’ in The Boyfriend, as ‘Fiyero’ in the Sydney season of Wicked and Corny Collins in the national tour of Hairspray the Arena Spectacular.
As a recording artist, Tim’s debut album High School Disco was released in April 2014 through ABC and Universal Music. The album was overwhelmingly received, debuting at No. 25 on the national ARIA charts, No.7 on the Aus album charts and No. 7 on the iTunes’ charts. His national concert tour that followed was to sell out crowds.
His sophomore album ELECTRIFYING 80s - Stock Aitken Waterman via his own record label Encore Records, debuted at No. 1 on the Australian Independent Album charts as well as No. 15 on the official ARIA album charts.
In 2023 Tim joined forces with husband Anthony Callea for the first time in a live concert tour, Up Close & Unpredictable, with 27 sold out shows around the country to brilliant acclaim. In November 2024 Anthony and Tim played yet another series of sold out shows at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall and Sydney Opera House celebrating the Songs of Elton John and George Michael and in 2025 they will embark on a 28-date live national tour taking the show on the road across Australia.
Being the multi talent that he is, Tim works often as an MC and vocalist in the Events Industry for Gala balls, Award nights, Charity fundraising dinners, outdoor public events and more. The Tim Campbell Band is in very high demand, exciting crowds with classic dance floor favourites from his albums and beyond.
