Simon has become one of Australia’s favourite leading men. He has performed multiple roles with companies including the Royal National theatre, London, Melbourne Theatre Company and Sydney theatre Company. He is perhaps most well known for his acclaimed role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables performing the role in Australia and London’s West End, and for which he won a Helpmann Award for Best Actor in a musical.
