It's almost time for the annual Christmas Eve tradition of tuning into Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight.

Once again, the event is presented in partnership with AAMI, broadcast partner Channel Nine and venue partner Arts Centre Melbourne.

Performer and host of Today Extra, David Campbell, will again host Carols by Candlelight with Carols debutant Sarah Abo.

All of the artists who perform at Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight donate their time to support the event.

In its 86th year, an amazing cast of performers have offered their time and talent including some of Australia's biggest pop/rock acts, musical theatre performers and Carols by Candlelight favourites.

Some of the performers you can expect to see during the event include:

  • Musical theatre stars Bobby Fox and Elise McCann
  • Electrifying First Nations entertainer Mitch Tambo
  • The cast of Grease The Musical including legendary Marcia Hines, Patti Newton and Jay Laga’aia

Broadcasting Carols

Millions of Australians will settle in their living rooms to enjoy Nine Network's live telecast of Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight. The television program commences at 8pm AEDT on 24 December, with a full replay at 1 pm on Christmas Day. Check your local television guide for more information. We want as many people as possible to be a part of the Christmas magic with us, by watching or listening to the show from home, or enjoying the replay on Christmas Day. Radio

Vision Australia Radio will be providing an audio-described simulcast of the carols across its national radio network, making this Christmas Eve favourite accessible to Australia’s blind and low-vision community wherever they are. With local broadcast services across Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Albury, Melbourne and regional Victoria, there is a frequency near you. Meet one of our ambassadors, Lucy!

Meet Lucy, one of our incredible ambassadors this year! Her infectious smile and cheerful nature light up every room she enters. In the early months of Lucy’s life, she was diagnosed with glaucoma, a condition that is exceptionally rare in children. Following her diagnosis, Lucy was immediately booked in for eye corrective surgery and underwent several procedures. Luckily, these procedures were successful, however, the future of Lucy’s vision remains uncertain.
