CDB, ‘90s masters of Australian R&B featuring Andrew De Silva, Gary Pinto, Brad Pinto and Danny Williams, have toured the world, achieved platinum album sales and continue today to be revered for their R&B style, vocal harmonies and high energy, entertaining live shows. 

As teenagers, CDB were part of Melbourne’s south eastern urban scene, a movement that included musicians, producers, rappers, graffiti and visual artists, DJs, fashion designers and dancers. Formed in Melbourne in 1991, the vocal quartet were reputed around their hometown for their urban live shows.

Signed to Sony in the late teens, CDB’s debut album – Glide With Me (1994) – went Platinum in Australia and Top 5 in France. The subsequent single – Let’s Groove – topped the ARIA charts and was the best-selling Australian single in 1995. 

CDB toured the world, sharing the stage with the likes of Boyz II Men, K-Ci & Jo-Jo, Desiree and Tina Arena. During this time they performed in Seoul, to 100,000 music fans, while the show was also broadcast to an audience of 17-million people worldwide. The band’s second album Lifted (1997), saw further success with singles, including Good Times and Back Then.

In 2017, CDB returned to the scene heading back into the studio recording and releasing, through Warner Music, Tailored For Now - eleven tracks celebrating 1990s R&B heroes including Boyz II Men, Montell Jordan and SWV. 

Over 15 years in the making, 2020 sees CDB deliver their long awaited album Christmas Is Here - The CDB Mixtape. Released through Ambition Records, and featuring among others,  Guy Sebastian and Diesel, the album showcases the vocal harmonies CDB are known for along with their talented songwriting, musical arrangement and production prowess.

Individually, the members of CDB have created their own success stories and etched out their place within the Australian music industry. Andrew won the 2012 season final of Australia’s Got Talent and is a successful recording artist, songwriter and producer. Gary is The Masked Singer Vocal Director,  The Voice Vocal Coach and has mentored countless artists over the years including Samantha Jade, Dami Im and Will Singe. In 2019, to rave reviews, Gary toured nationwide with his show based on the life of Soul Legend, Sam Cooke, ‘The Songs and Times Of Sam Cooke’.

Brad is an accomplished songwriter, including co-writing the Triple J’s Hottest 100 hit single Boys Like You with rapper 360. Brad’s song was also recorded by U.S. Rap Superstar G-Eazy for his album The Beautiful & Damned.
